| I realize no one is reading this - heck, I don't even look at it much anymore - but I intend to spread the word as much as possible, so might as well start here.
I have just spent a hideous 25 days trying to get Sears to make my brand new refrigerator functional. I've had to deal with uncooperative people, unknowledgeable people and it has just been an all around nightmarish experience.
Oh, I know that Sears used to be considered quality - for both products and service. Apparently, however, that is a thing of the past. Their current version of "service" is to keep telling you different things every time you call, and make you jump through hoops to try and get your problem resolved. And then they cheerily end the call with "have a nice day", completely ignoring the fact that they've just made that impossible!
So, save yourself a lot of grief and DO NOT shop at Sears, especially for anything that might require service. You will not be happy with the results!

| It's not like anyone's really reading this stuff, but just in case someone accidentally stumbles on it and reads it before they come to their senses, I would warn you not to buy the LOTR Limited Edition DVDs. Not unless you're really fond of a lot of technical stuff on movie making, or especially keen to see Billy Boyd and Dom Monaghan being crude (they seem to enjoy doing that, particularly on camera). There is some stuff with Ian, Viggo & Miranda, and Andy Serkis talks some about his role of Gollum, but otherwise the actors really aren't much in it. You won't see a great deal of footage that didn't make it into the film, with the possible exception of one bit they may or may not have filmed that involved Eowyn defending the caves at Helm's Deep when Orcs break in there. But what you see is the rehearsal of it, with stunt people being orcs (no head coverings) and them just running through it.
So, save yourself the money if those things don't desperately interest you. I can't say these DVDs add much to the canon, and didn't really warrant this 'special' publication, regardless of hype to the contrary.

| Okay, it's been "suggested" that I should update since it has been several months! It's not my fault! My grandfather always said I was laconic! Blame the genes!
So, what to say? How about, am I the only one that thinks it's utterly ridiculous that they extradited Karr to Colorado and THEN tested his DNA for a match? Come on! Wouldn't it have been a whole lot cheaper and easier to do the test where he was and only extradite him if it DID match?
Ah well, there I go being sensible and reasonable and stuff. I really should stop that. They've made it clear to me at work and throughout most of my life that it isn't a talent fully appreciated by most people...

| Hmmm, been quite awhile since I wrote anything. Sorry about that for those of you who are hanging on my every word. On the other hand, it does give you a lot of free time to do unimportant things like eat, sleep, have fun...
Just for the record, I am not wild about Chef Boyardee ravioli. Why, you ask (...or not), is this significant? Because I buy these 8 pack things with 2 each of ravioli, lasagna, beefaroni and spaghetti & meatballs. So, that means I either throw 2 out or I eat them...eventually. Little wonder I go through the others first. Why do I eat them at all? Because I'm too lazy to make a lunch to bring to work, or go out and stand in line somewhere to buy one. Also, I'm too cheap to do the latter, but that's another story.
For those who have been dying to know (oh, come on - admit that you were), in my goal to win all 32,000 games of Freecell available on my computer, I am presently up to something over 18,400, which is about 58% of them. I've only been at it since March 2001 though. I can only do "mindless" so long and then I need a purpose. I quit doing Minesweep because I got so fast and so good the mouse couldn't keep up with me, and no one could believe the scores I had. But at that point it had lost its challenge and I had nowhere to go with it, so I lost interest. I was losing interest in Freecell until I found out there were 32,000. That gave me something to attain - winning them all - and I am slowly making my way through the list. My roommate insists she is going to find me dead at the computer playing it, but I've informed her that she better hope when she does that I've won all 32,000 games or I'M COMING BACK!
Hope you all had a good Easter or Passover or anything else you celebrate around this time of year.

| It's been awhile since I wrote anything. Life kind of stinks right now, so I'm not feeling very inspired. Work is going downhill fast and life drones endlessly on...
You'd think the holidays would put me in a festive mood, but all they do is add to the annoyance factor...with everything.
Oh, this is too depressing! Don't even bother to read it and just have a good holiday, whatever it is that you celebrate
